About the

48th Alabama Reenactors

Founded in the mid 1980's, the 48th Alabama has been continuously active in reenactments, memorial services, living histories parades and many other events where a historical presence such  ours is appreciated.

Although the 48th fought in the Army of Northern Virginia, our particular unit is located in the deep South and subsequently our impression for local events is that of the Army of Tennessee.  However, we still endeavor to honor our namesake by participating in Eastern events at least every two years. To this end, we belong to the Hardee Guard Battalion for deep South events and Longstreet's Corps for eastern events.
